Easter Egg Dressing

I’m dressed like an Easter egg today.  Just in case you all didn’t get enough of it on Sunday:

Actually, I didn’t intentionally dress like an Easter egg, but EBEW and Target conspired against me.   I knew I was going to wear this blazer for the Everybody, Everywear Pastels Challenge, but I didn’t know what I was going to wear with it.  Enter Target.  What started out as a harmless trip to buy Q-tips and a birthday present resulted in my seeing this dress, squealing with joy, pondering the hi-lo hem, deciding to get it anyway and wearing it with this blazer.

So, you see, it’s not my fault I’m dressed like an Easter egg.  I just love this dress (Target) and this blazer (vintage, thrifted) and I happen to love them together, so I wore them together.  I also wore platform sandals (MRKT via DSW), a thin belt (Gap) and a tassel pendant (Old Navy).

Allergic to eggs?  You can (probably) see less egg-like pastel-wearing at Everybody, Everywear.  Probably.  I mean, it’s doubtful anyone else dressed like an egg, but you should go check it out just to be sure.

And have a Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

Gracey

  5. This dress looks great on you! I love the hi-lo hem and the pattern - it looks a bit like Missoni. Was it a recent buy? Because if so, I may have to get my own :)

  6. So cute! Love the dress dear :) And oh Target... it never fails that the clothing draws you in and when you go for one simple item you come out with $50 + of clothing rather than what you went in for in the first place! :)

  20. Ha, there is absolutely nothing wrong with dressing like an Easter egg! It is spring time, after all, and don't spring and Easter go hand-in-hand? =) I think you look aDORable!! I probably would have squealed for that dress too and ran with it to the register like a crazy person!

  22. Ooh, I love the Missoni vibe, and the lovely colours on that dress. I am also, for the first time, seeing the point of the high/low hemline, because it looks awesome on you.

I miss Target like crazy. There really isn't an equivalent in the UK, at least not in my opinion.

  23. Target will totally do that to ya! Usually I'm not a fan of belts and long necklaces (on me anyway)...but this combo looks great! The blazer, belt, necklace, fun hemline...it looks perfect!

  25. Target gets ya that way. You go in for laundry detergent, and come out with a coral pencil skirt. Not that that happened to me recently...

I was so proud of myself for accidentally participating in EBEW pastels. You look great!
