A lot of bloggers have been craving pastels lately, but I’m not a fan of pastels (you may have read about my war on mint green). What I’ve been craving are brights. I gave into that craving today:
I also gave into my craving to pair brights with other brights. Specifically, I paired cobalt with various citrus hues. For the cobalt, I wore an open cardigan (Calvin Klein via Ideeli) and leopard flats (Nine West “Naughty”). For the citrus, I wore a lime-striped tee (Old Navy) and a lemon yellow scarf (Old Navy) dotted with bits of lime and orange. I grounded the whole look with gray skinnies (Gap).
It’s not the most leg-lengthening look, but it definitely satisfied my craving for bright colors.
Happy Wednesday, All!
Gracey

Oh, I've got that brights craving BAD, myself. Love the cobalt and yellow. Like lemon trees under blue skies, or something like that.
ReplyDeleteGracey, you make me wish I was tall like you. You look good in everything you wear. I love your shoes, and this very colorful, beautifully styled outfit. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of pastels either - why go for soft and pale when you can go for bright and loud?! I love that cardigan - it looks so comfy.
ReplyDeleteYep! You did great. Super colors.
ReplyDeleteOH, I really like these colors together. Great idea. I also really love them with the grey pants.

Well, I do think your legs still look miles long! And I love the brights together.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue and the cut of that cardi! Also, the pattern of the shoes are beyond amazing!!!!!! I want!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of pastels. If I wear 'em, there has to be a LOUD, IN-YOUR-FACE color along with it. Case in point. I am diggin' the brights you've got going on, my friend. (:
ReplyDeletei like the brights gracey girl!i suddenly want lemon bars with blueberries. you're not worried about leg lengthening for real, are you? ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you- I much prefer bright colours to pastels because they just scream (hello world, I'm here!) Those flats are absolutely amazing and I love the bright blue and yellow combo!
ReplyDeleteYou look soooo good in brights, Gracey! I wish I looks as good in pastels (I remain firm in thinking I look like a bonbon) Those leopard print flats are soooo cute!

I really like the lemon/lime combo (although that may be my natural instinct to love food colors, haha). You work the hell outta some brights!

Those shoes are so adorable! This outfit is the bright bomb. (No, I don't really know what that means, but it sounded really neat in my head.) And finally, we agree on an evil color. Mint green is only for ice cream.
ReplyDeleteLoving the brights on you, Gracey! The cardigan is just the most perfect blue, it's so pretty with the lemon. And the flats are adorable - blue leopard, LOVE!!!

Love the shoes and that cobalt blue is gorgeous. Unfortunately it is very hard to find Nine West shoes in size Sasquatch, so I probably won't be able to find a pair for myself.
ReplyDeleteGracey--I can understand why you are craving cobalt. It's a beautiful color and beautiful on you.
